Sir,
With reference to your letter No.8 in 3075/20
of 2nd April, 1927 announcing the decision of the Government
to increase the number of higher class posts in 1928, I have
the honour to request, on behalf of the Junior Clerical
Service, that the Government will be so good as to give
effect to this decision as from the 1st January.
The appointments to the additional posts in
the Post Office have already been approved with effect from
the 1st January, 1928 and I beg to request that the same
treatment may be accorded to the other officers of the Junior
clerical Service.
